The fall of the Wall was one of the greatest miracles of raw politics, but a greater miracle was what didn't happen afterwards. Everybody was afraid of the new force rise, with Germany threatening the rest of Europe, or be threatened by it. But it didn't occur. Germany went democratic and part of the European system.
The miracle is that this democratic Germany now is encircled only by friends, and there are for no longer a risk for the rest of Europe. So in short, the German problem has been solved, a country either too strong or too weak.
